    Hi everyone;
    We had a really bad storm here in St.Louis last night, wind up to 70 mph, walls of rain and unbelievable lightning. We had a chance to see it coming on radar so I went to the garage and unplugged. our Prime. What’s the opinion right or wrong thing to do ???

    I unplug mine during storms here in the lightning capitol. So far, here in Tampa, I've lost an answering machine (obviously a long time ago) and a garage door opener to nearby lightning strikes.

    When I lived in the South, I'd unplug anything delicate during a bad T-storm, especially electronics. I think the question is what kind of surge protector does the charger have? If you aren't sure, unplugging is always the safest.
