This Definitely won't be a plug and play option, and some splicing would be involved. Would it be possible to use the following: PT413-42130 2013 - 2018 Rav4 footwell light kit below for the Prime?

FYI, when the vehicle is in Park, the footwell light will be at its brightest state. Once it vehicle is in D, it will be dimmed

@citiprius Thanks for the heads up!

I'm assuming I would need to connect this to the ambient light relay.

I think on my Highlander I hooked up aftermarket LED footwell to the headlight signal, that way when headlights go on the footwell lights will go on. There was no auto dim mode that citiprius talks about.

@BChoAss curious why did you buy the RAV4 kit ? is it the same part number as the Prius Prime?

@chickenhawk I appreciate the reply. I personally chose the RAV4 kit as it was already OEM assembled and included OEM white LEDs which was the look I was aiming for.

I was looking though some previous footwell wiring posts and stumbled across this from @Elektroingenieur he commented:

"The European manual for the same accessory tells you the wire colors at the left and right footwell lights.

The Electrical Wiring Diagram and the diagram of the Footwell Light Circuit in the Repair Manual (available by subscription to techinfo.toyota.com) show that unswitched power (pink or gray) comes from the 7.5 A DOME fuse, but not through the DOME CUT relay. Ground (green or white) is connected to the FSPT terminal on the Main Body ECU, where it is switched by a transistor."

Do you possible know which wires he is mentioning?

If you look at my attached RAV4 footwell kit photo above, you can see that there is a YELLOW and GREY wire that needs to be tapped into two wires mentioned above.

If you look at the directions, for example this driver side is located behind the panel that you remove above the gas/brake pedal. Pin 1 which is grey is the positive side and the white wire is negative. It is a wire that has nothing connected to it, look at the picture and compare. They want you to do wire tap to connect your led harness to the car wiring.

You can hook up your harness up to the battery terminals to make sure it lights up, looks like the yellow will be the positive and the grey will be the negative/gnd.

Attached is a footwell light wiring diagram for anyone interested with a Prius Prime PLUS or LE

I'll be uploading photos once I get around installing my RAV4 Footwell kit above.
