Are you surprised my stock 12V battery is still working ?

Thanks. That's a great tip. I must give it a try next time. Yeah, for now, I have no problem with ~30lb Prius 15" wheel and tire, but with 21" Pathfinder tires and wheel, the job is tough. I don't know how heavy it is, but trying to align the holes while holding the wheel in the air is not easy.

The most I ever saw my amperage draw according to my Scangauge is like 9A with the AC on Max FYI. Its a custom setting that someone gave me here on Prius Chat for the Scangauge II. The AC varies since it is an inverter from like 1A-5A normally

Yea, that's really low ! I'm sure its one of the most efficient systems out there. I bet my 08" F150 uses 5 X's as much :) lol
....but for this discussion, my 2019 Prius LE might also use 5 X's as much > all because of my stereo amplifier, which again, is fused for 100 amps, so Id have to guess I'm pulling 30-40 amps just for it, on a regular, sometimes constant basis ? :( Hmmm...

If i was concerned about possibly losing $1500 if the 12 v battery were to fail, I would INVEST in a small booster pack that would fit in the glove box or stashed somewhere else. I have a small one that also has a tire inflator and a light. I have not used the light or the inflator but have started our Suburban several times with it.

it takes about thirty minutes to replace a 12v battery. how would you loose an entire weekends worth of fares from thirty minutes of downtime ?

if you're concerned about it dying, carry a jump pack
