    That wheel looks great.
    Outside my price budget.
What are you doing with the old wheel?
    I’m looking for that style.
Wanted to buy the leather wrap kit that goes over the old leather.
    Zip 75035
    Thanks

What cable are you using? Our Techstreams at work all have Mongoose cable. Toyota actually specifies what cable to use, from what I remember, it's mostly to avoid issues with the update software, not sure if it can prevent proper access/recognition.

Old wheel I threw in storage but it’s the typical plastic one. They have a bunch on eBay for about 100

But is the cutoff determined by the headlight fitting or by the bulbs that are installed?

The cutoff is determined by the cutoff shield within each lamp assembly. Doesn't have anything to do with the bulbs.

You can adjust it if needed, the guy I bought mine from adjusted it on his prius and I have not had any issues with blinding people.

The cutoff doesn't have anything to do with the bulbs, as long as the bulbs are exactly the designed ones, with the filament right at the designed position. If the bulbs are mispositioned, or the wrong type, or are like some LED retrofits where the light is emitted from a wider area than the original filament, then that can mess with the effectiveness of the cutoff.

There's an adjustment provided on the back of the headlight to move the cutoff up and down. But if you look at in on a nice white wall or something, you will see it is not straight across. It angles further up on the side away from opposing traffic. A headlight for the RHD market will have that on the other side. There might be a way to change that after baking the assembly apart, but it's not a provided adjustment.

I thought I recalled from looong ago seeing cutoff shields within the bulbs.

Finally completed the full LED conversion on my prius.
6000K LED through out the whole car with hyper flash relay all the way down to the footwells and finally today the glove box.

Replaced the ugly footwell and glove box amber color with the Lexus white and it is so much better. 20220207_122545.jpeg 20220207_120438.jpeg 20220207_190505.jpeg
