In the process of removing my intake manifold I separated the top part of the connector. It's still plugged in, but the top part seems to be broken. I have tried to disconnect it, but can't seem to figure out how to release it. I have to be careful or I may pull the wires out of the upper portion of the connector.

Is the release on the back side (side toward the front of the car)? If there is a tab release should it be pushed or pulled? Top or bottom?

    Thanks in advance.

This is the AC compressor 12 volt connector?

The release is at the front. I found a pen knife blade inserted in the gap just above the base and pried gently outward releases it.

Thanks. I'll give it a try after I unload some of this frustration I've built up trying to remove the EGR cooler.

Got the lower bracket nut off? Never put it back on, just leave it off.
