Bus Bar Mistake

    911D8920-2C76-4140-8E0B-491E90DEAD52.png So after watching Jack’s new video I realized I made a mistake. I used the aftermarket nuts with those grooves in it. Should I switch back to oem asap or do you think I will be fine? I checked my resistance in the dr Prius app before and after the change there is no change. Hopefully I did not damage anything.

    Haven't watched that video yet so don't know Jack's point, but the main reason for not using nuts with grooves in it for me is because NiMH are prone to corrosion and the nuts create more room for the corrosion than a flat surface nut. However, you no longer have a NiMH that creates corrosion like that, so it's fine, nothing to worry about.

    The nuts you have will work fine since they only provide the clamping force to the bus bars, but if you were to work on your battery again at some point, I suggest using the ACENBAY brand nuts Wide Flange Nuts.jpg

    I got the old acenbay design in 2021. I swear they changed their design right after i purchased mine unfortunately. Though my battery is still going strong, and internal resistance + voltage difference is the same from 2021.
