    Greetings,
Mechanic states compressor is done. Was quoted 2700 to replace it and txv. I declined, bought used compressor, gauges, vacuum pump, etc to change it myself. Comprssor has some pressure so i feel there is no metal in the system. 75 low and 125 high side psi. Found instructions from Mendel. Txv was recommended to be changed as well but I cannot find a procedure or even a picture of where it is. Does it need to be changed? Could anyone provide guidance on where it is and how to get to it? 164000 miles on the clock.

I appreciate your post. After reading your recommendation and consulting a family member with years of commercial a/c experience we decided to change the compressor and see what happens. Have a great day!
