I installed a Cusco strut tower bar, two chassis under braces from "Mike Five Hundred", and a TRD rear sway bar on my 2013 Plug-in. They really transformed the car and maybe saved my life! A guy pulled out of a side road and I was able to avoid hitting him with a quick instinctual left-right-left of the steering wheel. No squeal of tires, no sliding. I was amazed and very thankful for having done the mods. And finally I had convinced my wife (who was with me) that the cost of the mods ("to make the car safer") were more than worth it. What might also have helped avoid a collision were the 16-inch Weds SA-15R wheels I bought in 2014. They weigh 14.5 pounds each, and improve the steering response and roadholding. All in all, a great combination of mods, and all to make the car safer (and way more fun in the corners!). :)

It will be interesting to find out how much a strut tower bar and other mods improve the Gen 5 Prius which is certainly superior to my Gen 3 Plug-in as it was in stock form.

We got some very bad news! The Tanabe Strut Tower Bar is a ‘no go’ for the LHD Prius in the States. The brake fluid reservoir does not clear the mounting bracket.

Bummer, I was looking at doing this.
It's more like the bracket doesn't clear the BF reservoir...
