    Hi everyone

Could I just replace the cathode instead of buying a new 12v battery?

The car shut off twice while driving and the power steering also went off due to this :((

    Thanks for your input

Looks like this battery has had issues in the past and they already replaced the terminal the battery connects to... Not sure what's wrong with the battery but they are sealed and maybe if you lived in rural India there would be someone who rebuilds them but not anywhere else as its toxic and messy.

Once you get the 12v replaced you may solve the problem with the car, or you may not. Too soon to tell. But it certainly is the first step.

Not anymore after reading some other threads on this forum. It might be either the 2018 recall (18V684) or the hybrid battery. The car, along with power steering, went off a couple times after I updated the software in a local dealership. So it might have shut off due to the inverter failure. I also need to replace half the hv battery modules so it could be due to that, or maybe both.

Good question, anyway :)) Thanks for your reply. I shouldn't have posted this before reading other threads.

If you're in a place where they do things like that have at it here where I am they don't do too much of this kind of thing.
