prius prime oil pump in front bumper code HELP

    Big question I have is how long can I run the car with this code: 260031 in hybrid ECU that code is 'motor/generator coolant pump A control circuit no signal.
    That would indicate the bumper damage also damaged the wiring to pump or pump.
    Does anybody know if this pump is not working if I can still drive the car conservatively without damaging anything or if I would get an additional warning if hybrid system is getting too hot? It seems to me it must be a like a transmission cooler for the hybrid drive.
    any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated I just want to get the car to another qualified mechanic.

    I got the part number from service tech for the pump that they want 2200 dollars to replace.
    It comes up as an oil pump toyota part # 3530047010 which looks like a remote oil pump which I guess could be located in the front left bumper cavity????
    It is listed in various places on the internet from 380 to 900 dollars. the service dept quoted 1300 (although maybe hoses need replaced)
    It is so odd that it is broken but not leaking a drop of oil.
    Any ideas? I have been a shade tree mechanic my entire life so all this sounds crazy to me.

    My wife tagged a curb backing out of a parking space. I have another thread started in trouble shooting section with the whole story.

    My wife backed out of a parking space and caught the bottom of the driver's side bumper and popped it out a bit. an insert popped out. and 300+ miles later we got a hybrid malfunction warning. Took it to the dealer and under warranty they said they replaced 2 pumps (hmmm) They said one pump was bad but that they would replace both (also charged us for 60k service 1,000)
    Drove home and same hybrid malfunction warning came back up (and a small orange triangle.)
    Brought it back and they then discovered that the pump located in front fender is broken and needs to be replaced. 2,200 dollars. (pump is 1300 for the part.)
    service guy cited code: 260031 in hybrid ECU: 'motor/generator coolant pump A control circuit no signal.'

    the body shop quote is 1,183 for the bumper damage so that is 3300+ because we tagged a curb.

    So I fixed my problem. I did not receive any response to my posts on this. I am not sure if what I was asking was too hard a question that nobody knew any answers to or I am too new to the forum or my post was poorly written or was it something else?
    Anyway I am going to post how I solved the problem in hopes it helps somebody else.

    When the car hit the curb in reverse it popped the bumper extension (corner of bumper) out and it snapped back and the signal light assembly slammed into the connector on the pump breaking off the part of the housing around the male pins I have a broken ankle but I managed to pull a small section of underbody shield to reach up and see the damage. tempImagef1mCdr.png tempImagebG8foK.png
    I unbolted the oil pump (one nut and one bolt) so I could drop the pump down and carefully straighten the pins

    I used UV activated JB weld. Carefully pushed the connector back on and Bobs your uncle. Hybrid malfunction warning is gone. saved 2200. I will update this thread if this repair gives me any trouble. It appears this bumper mounted pump is a transaxle fluid cooling pump. I could find almost no info on it and whether is was critical for operating the car. It may only run when the hybrid drive gets hot enough? my warning may come back we will see. Please feel free to correct me on any of this if you see fit.
