In the USA it is asked me for no subscription and no money on the max AP app that I'm using because the AP200 said so I downloaded it from clicking on that stupid thing on the packaging now if I all of a sudden want to select Aston Martin or some nonsense I have to pay for that That's a fact. And rather than pay for that on a reoccurring yearly basis or whatever that turns into would seem me I would just buy another $56 device and select the car that I'm going to use it with and leave it in the glove box. That avoids the subscription fees now if you're going to be one to have 16 different cars I guess that could get expensive and you might could pay for a max 808 tablet system but most people this isn't a thing.

Okay I had to reread your business and look on my nonsense again The Maxi AP app if I'm not mistaken is the one you use for the 2500 It's the non maxi app I think I believe is what I'm using with the AP200 right on my screen the red icon for the AP200 is not involved with Maxi at all

No the Maxi AP app is for the 2,500. And the other red app from this manufacturer is the one that I use for the AP so on my phone screen the one that has the MAXI does not go with the AP200 that goes with the red and black 2500 The other red icon for the scanner is the one I clicked to use with the white AP200 that's probably where your problem is Good luck

Yes you want the AP200 not the 25000. But the 25 I think should still give you all of your codes ABS and all of it It may not be able to bleed the brakes but it should be able to get you all of your codes so I'm not sure maybe you have a problem with your OBD2 port in the vehicle which happens

Yes you have the $2,500 so you need to use the $2,500 app which you can mess with by scanning the QR code on the side of the 2500 black and red device at least that's what I did on mine the $2,500 should still be able to read all of your codes I do believe It should not just blank out on your ABS codes I don't think that's right I'll go out and plug my 2500 up within the next hour and see I can make a break code happen in a second and the $2,500 should pick it up the $2,500 will not bring up the bleed menu for the brakes but that's a long way away from reading codes so if you're not able to read codes with the right software for the device you're using then I would be looking at possibly they're being a problem with the OBD2 port in your car which has happened more than once right here there's a pin that should have voltage from the battery and so on and so forth you can Google OBD2 port on an '08 Prius for the pin outs wouldn't be the first time that's for sure.

Man, Tom you have been a wealth of information for many of my previous problems for years. Period thank you , but I know my suggestions of using punctuation are futile. I can usually decipher what you’re saying. Is that the 2500 & the 2500 app that I’m using should have communication with the ABS system and that it’s likely a pin in my OBD port that is the problem. Indeed I’ve had this problem before with other pri. does my screenshot at least look similar to yours?

It's confusing. Yes, subscription required BUT the first one is free for life

I bought the 2500E, it wanted me to subscribe for full access.

...and the price came with a lifetime subscription service for any one car brand, so I set mine up for Toyota. Now I have a paid lifetime subscription for Toyota access with my 2500E.

AFAIK the 200 & 2500E handle the subscription system the same way.

Now if I want it to read our other (non-Toyota) car, I would have to pay an additional subscription.

I haven't gotten those communication messages so it seems like it's something with the car as far as the subscription service goes. Both the $2,500 and the AP200 when I took them out of the box I thought I'd get the one car company set up for the device for I guess for life of the device or something so of course I selected Toyota and that's that for the $2,500 it reads all codes and does everything on the same Prius that I'm always using to test these things which is an '09 generation 2 in this car the 2500 reads codes ABS codes non ABS codes and it will read any other car as a very well seemingly designed by directional scanner won't do anything but it'll read codes and clear codes like a regular decent scanner The AP200 was the same setup. I selected Toyota I get that with the device for life of whatever it is the device me something and it has a menu for brake bleeding and what have you It even has TPMS but it seems cumbersome to use the carista app on the other hand which I think is a monthly subscription You could just turn it on when you wanted to use it every few years or something for a month do all the cars and be done it can determine sensor numbers wheel positions all of that right out of the box right out of the app whatever.

Did you go back and "purchase" the full scan? You don't actually purchase anything, you are just redeeming the one free lifetime subscription that they give you.

They don't make it very clear, but you have to jump through those hoops to start. Then it's easy.
