Good day, today i proceeded to clean filter and realized that it is missing. Previous owner probably got bored with it. New filter cost just 10Eur (old style, assembled on top of grille) and should arrive within near days.

I am just wondering that how important is the venting in cold climate use. Here temperature reach +20deg celcius or more maybe 20 days per year (if lucky). Average yearly temperature +3deg. HV venting system probably never cleaned.

Sounds like HD venting system is hardly ever used if you're in the cold I know here in the winter time in North Carolina where it's 100° in the summer and the fan does run in the winter I almost never hear it so if it's on it's on the lowest plausible setting possible and I don't really run heat in the car I'm heat-sensitive so maybe a tad something on the windshield for the defrost effect and then the car is generally kept cold and the winter time just find natural selection of course no air conditioning needed except when it rains and gets foggy inside Not really that often.

The filter also helps keep more dirt, fur, hair, etc., out.
I also used a foam filter that really helps to keep the dirt and dust out.
