    Hi!

I am at a complete loss. I have dealt with this code for a while. I took my 2012 Prius C with 245,000 miles to have the battery reconditioned/cells replaced because of the P0A80 code, check hybrid battery warning, and abs/traction control lights. 6 cells were replaced because they were low/dead as well as the computer and relay pack. Bringing it home, we drove 200ish miles then the P0A80 code came back with “check Hybrid battery” warning came in again.
Any advice? At this point I’m willing to try almost anything.

The quality of a rebuilt battery pack is only as good as the person re-building it... And even the best rebuilder won't warranty for more than a few years, unless they're a really big operation that can absorb that loss... How much did you pay for your rebuild job?

That is a game of whack-a-mole, and your mole just popped up from a different hole. This is a fairly common result for a module swap, though sometimes you get a lot more than 200 miles before it pops again.

Somebody will need to gather data from the battery to determine whether the computer is unhappy with the new modules, or other original ones, or a combination of both. Either way, they are far enough out of sync to make the computer think the net result is a bad traction battery.

is there are warranty? if they won't fix it for free, find someone else, but be aware that only a new battery is a long term solution.
