    Hello,
I want to install winter tires on rims. The XSE has a 19 in diameter wheel. I want to go to a 17 wheel. I want to confirm if the brakes are the same size for the SE and XSE model. I am buying aftermarket rims and want to make sure there are no issues. I have checked all dimensions but I don't know about the brake size.
    Thank you.

Almost certainly there are no differences in the brake dimensions.

Brake sizes don't vary by trim - there should be no problem fitting 17" wheels to the higher trims due to brakes.

There is a shock absorber difference between the trims - presumably some tuning for the different tyre profiles. So maybe a 19" car with 17" wheels might be a bit softer than a car originally intended for 17"?

The PHEV does have bigger front brake rotors than the HEV.
