I don't think the base flip mirror has a screw but I look in an homelink might. I've both here. I thot I changed 1 flip mirror just because of this . In one. I also found aftermarket day night mirror that has 2 lights firing down very convenient. I really like that mirror .
I took the mirror off and there is no screw, not the fancy auto-dim home link mirror. I've never had a mirror "wear out" but it's loose where it attaches to the metal plate on the windshield, the metal plate itself is not loose.
Yes it's a spring clip you released w small x driver I don't think ya can adjust the spring pressure .
