This came with a backup camera, my Prius has the factory backup camera.

The new radio has a backup camera input, but I'm fine with still using it through the MFD.

Do I need to do anything different with the new radio itself, or does the backup camera still work through the MFD?

    Thanks

Long ago there was a problem with the MFD working properly in Gen2 Prius if you installed an aftermarket stereo. The fix was either adding a resistor to a specific wire, or leaving the old stereo plugged in and hiding it under the seat. But that was more than a decade ago. I think aftermarket stereo makers now resolve that themselves by having more compatibility in their systems...

If I were you, I'd use both back up cameras and use the backup camera that came with the stereo in a more unique location so you have more camera angles to see what's going on behind your car.

It looks like the new radio has that resistor installed.
