The magic smoke went out of my Techstream laptop a while ago and I haven't rebuilt it yet, so I've been using an Autel AP200 lately. But I haven't checked whether the Autel can access the ABS History ... I definitely haven't stumbled on that option while using it.

You will have to take the rear wheels off to check connector to the rear wheel hub ABS speed sensor connection and wires, might as well spray the connector terminal with some electrical cleaner while you’re at it, for the fro wheels you can probably get by turning the wheels to open up the wheel well area. I haven’t messed with tech stream ever so Chapman can lead you from there.

Some people get Techstream from Toyota and obtain an activation code from TIS (good for 2 days or a month or a year)—the official way. That shouldn't have many surprises (though I heard they are phasing out, or have phased out, the old Windows Techstream in favor of new Global Techstream+, which may be a whole different ball game I haven't used). When you go the official way, the surprises should be few, and Toyota support should be available if you get stuck.

Others get Techstream from an unofficial channel, and there will usually be some instructions and oddball steps for getting it to work. From what I've read over the years, the details differ by version and by the source of the unofficial package. The one on my defunct laptop was set up so long ago that the versions available now may have rather different setup procedures. If you're a computer guy you can probably get through the instructions with the package. Of course Toyota support won't be an option, but some help might be available from whoever supplied the package you got.

Grit keeps an archive of favorite PriusChat quotes.

I can't tell what part of that whole quote made it a favorite for Grit.

I liked the "32 bit version of Windows 10 that I will insult tomorrow" part. If you need any help insulting Windows, I'll be happy to pitch in, too.

@Equalizr you got the same size tires on your car or are any of them different?
