Front Wheel Bearing - Directional?

    Just had the driver front wheel bearing (just the bearing) replaced. It required HEAT and HAMMER and PRESS.
    My question…..is the bearing directional? That is, is it required to go in with an inside vs outside, one way only. The reason I ask is…the wheel speed sensor on the driver front is throwing a code, and I’ve lost cruise, traction, and stability control functions.
