I recently purchased a rebuilt A/C compressor from Four Seasons for my second-generation Prius and am unsure where to add the hybrid-grade oil. The compressor requires approximately 4.9 oz, but when I tried filling through the drain bolt, it only accepted about 3 oz. The low-side service port can accommodate the full 4.9 oz, yet when I add oil there, it doesn’t flow through to the drain bolt—and vice versa. It appears the two fill points are completely isolated from each other. Should I be distributing the oil between both ports?

4.9 is full system you got a bit on condenser lines etc I wouldn't drop that whole amount I don't think . Wen I do reg Denso belt a/c I add about 1 ounce as a general rule . To mix with what's inside the rest of system . Unless replacing most hard parts condenser EVAP in car etc . Most are not replacing all that . I could be doing it wrong I have no idea I know once Ireplace a compressor on a Corolla I generally don't again . I've got 25 yr old Corollas w ice cold air running Enviro temp refrigerant from the 90's still freezing.
