Light water damage -- car really unsalvageable?

    Really, 23 mOhm is a lot for a battery. The battery tester I have only works properly when attached right at the battery terminals (or metal immediately adjacent.) It does not work well at the jump point. The voltage is read properly at the jump point but the SOH is much much lower there than at the battery.

    I made sure that both clamps on + and - were tightened so that they won't wiggle -- what else could I do to ensure that the connection isn't bad? Thank you!

    What that information clearly states is how to triage flood-exposed vehicles into different severity levels, from least severe (level 1, water up to lower edge of rim/wheel) to most severe (level 5, up to top edge of dash panel). You find that table on pages 5 through 7.

    That requires "continue to step 2" under Vehicle Safing on page 4, and in table 1 it comes out Level 3. The things that should be inspected are what's listed for level 1, level 2, and level 3.

    A lot of the electrical wiring is under the carpet.

    The bulletin does say that salt water is much more damaging than fresh. If only fresh water was involved, the repair/replacement guidelines are a lot simpler.
