I got this gen 3 2015 that was flooded, that I have been working on. Replaced all the dashboard wiring harness, hybrid pack, and did some repairs on the floor wires harnesses on both driver and passenger sides. Programmed the smart key ECU to the smart key. Each time I tried starting the car, I get only the dashboard lights on the dash, without the hybrid coming on. Scanned the car for codes, and got the following: B27a2 and B27a8. I have checked the passenger side door outside handle if there is a module or harness that were damaged, I couldn't even see anything. Trying to confirm the driver side door, I removed the door mat, to gain access to the sensor attached to the door handle internally. Driver side door has a sensor on the handle, whilst I can't see anything on passenger side outside door handle. The b27a2 keeps pointing that there is an open circuit between the smart ECU and the passenger side outside door antenna. Has anyone one across this, and how did you fix it? Isn't there a passenger side outside door antenna attached on the handle like I saw on the driver side in this model? PS: Fig1: passenger side outside door handle. I can't see any antenna or sensor Fig1: driver side door outside door handle antenna with sensor wire harness showing. Does this mean in this Prius model, there is no sensor or antenna on the door handle, as it is on the driver side? I know this is the reason I can't get the Prius to start though. I need help pinpointing why there is not such sensor on the door handle. Or is the antenna, or sensor for the keyless, embedded in the smart key ECU, since it's an North America model?
