I replaced the HV ECU in my daughter's 2008. We have done the 4 and 13 jumper wire trick, but still the engine will not start. Next step suggestions welcomed.

Is this the same car that you created a thread about on September 6th?

I have done a paperclip in pins 4 and 13 again. Dashlights flicker. Did this procedure for 30+ minutes and turned it off. Took out jumper and key. Waited 5 minutes. Inserted key and pushed start button. Lights are solid. Triangle is still there. No start.

I did not replace the Engine ECU, just the HV ECV and converter/inverter.

Should I call a locksmith and have the fob reprogrammed?

UPDATE: Current status- With car in ready. The engine fired with jumper in pins 4 and 13 and key fob in. Will not start without jumper. I will try a couple more times.

It's running!!! After about 4 tries. The fob is sync'd.

Now it is displaying the following codes:

    Yay progress!

Search around for threads about your P0A08 and P0A09 codes. They pertain to a simple signaling circuit between the HV control ECU and the DC/DC converter, and there's information in other threads about troubleshooting that.
