I hope someone can give me some advice.

Someone broke the right rear quarter window of my 2013 Plugin Prius and then folded the right rear seat.

I am trying to figure out
    1. Which part to use (VIN has DP in the 7th, 8th places). I think it is 62710-47130, but I could be wrong.
    2. How do I close it up so I don't have the thief come back in and, this time, remove the battery pack?
    3. That little piece of glass is $215. . Where can get a less expensive alternative?
    4. And yes, I'll probably try to figure out how to do the actual work.

The insurance deductible is $500. I don't have much incentive... to go that route.
    Thanks

That looks like it's a simple piece of glue-in glass.

    1. What you can do now is measure or template out the dimensions of the glass. Go to home depot or Lowes and cut-out that shape in a 0.25 inch board and buy a 18 inch two by 4. Run a long rounded head bolt through the center of the glass board and 2by4. Tighten it down on the inside. The outer surface should be fairly smooth.

    2. Think about adding a motion & glass breakage sensor to your alarm system.

    Good Luck......

The right rear might have a radio antenna included, maybe why the price is surprising. Are there some wires near what's left of the old one?

Maybe consider a sign asking thief to break the left one instead?

I wish they were that cooperative. They do more damage than the property they steal.

I didn't see any wires, though. I cut a piece of ply to the shape and attached a steel wire to the inside. Then I tied the steel wire to the seat headrest posts.

Just be aware that headrest simply pulls out. Some has a release button at one of the post base.

Got it. Went back and checked to make sure that all the angles workout. Mine has a button, and if someone pulls on the ply, they will be applying tension that pulls the seat back, not forward.
If they get to the button, then they are already in.

Does anyone have any advice on how to install the window when it arrives? I saw the PDFs (see attached), but have a hard time understanding their diagram, let alone their explanation.
