bought a used 2013 Prius C, not sure if it is one or two, 400K km milage.i have driven it a few days everything seems works perfectly until I got it replaced the front brake pads and right side front wheel bearing. I didn't do the job, my neighbour which is a 20+ years mechanic running a garage did the job. on the way back from the garage, I noticed some lights popped up, and speed reading started going crazy, especially when I was padding brake, it would go from 50 to 5 then 12 or anything but not the true speed. 10-20 minutes later, it showed up check hybrid system, engine oil pressure low, all the lights on the dash lights up, including, parking lights, abs, engine light, electric power steering light, slip indicator lights, brake warning light and more. So, I pulled over to the curb, and called the tow service. during the waiting, I checked the engine oil level, it is good (changed 5 days ago), coolant level and temperature, coolant is full, and at the coolant cover it is warm, not even hot. and I found two weird problem, 1 was if I pad a few times of brake, the car will turn off, just like loose power connection, the 2nd is, even if I turned off the vehicle and pulled out the key, the immobile lights keeps blinking, and something keeps clicking once the immobile lights blink. vehicle towed back to garage, neighbour checked everything like I did, engine oil good, coolant not overheat, OBDII read tons of error codes: p0117, low input of engine coolant temperature circuit , p0441, incorrect purge flow of evaporative emission control, P2420, evaporative emission pressure switching valve is stuck in off position, U0129, lost communication with brake system control module, c1380 malfunction of stop light relay, c1467 circuit of left rear speed sensor, U0074 communication bus of control module is off, U0124, communication with lateral acceleration sensor module is lost, U0126 communication with steering angle sensor module is lost, U0293, communication with hybrid vehicle control system is lost, U0293, lost communication with HV/EV ECU, U0101 communication with TCM is lost, U0142 communication with body control module B is lost, U0155 communication with instrument panel cluster (IPC ) control module is lost, U0100 lost communication with ECM/PCM/EV"A", U0151 lost communication with restraints control module, U0164 lost communication with HVAC control module. he is a good mechanic , but he had limited exprience with hybrid prius. and we dont understand why would this happen. anyone can help me on anything I should check step by step? appreciate
when the tow truck came, I drove onto the tow truck, and the hybrid battery was working, I drove on by hybrid battery ( engine was not humming)
When everything goes sideways at once I would be suspicious that your 12 volt battery has started to fail which will cause just about every piece of electronics in the car to start to throw error codes.
