The light has been on steady for weeks now and at one point it flashed several times and went steady but I can’t remember if I was driving or stationary. Included in the time the tire light has been on on I drove Nj to Va and back

I did not use techstream or any other code reader to check for pending codes. I Don’t think my code reader app Torque can do tires and have never done that with techstream

In Techstream, you just do a Health Check. Techstream will scan all the ECUs in the car, and the results will be shown on one screen. Take a picture of that screen. Also, please take a picture of the light on the dash and a picture again of the tire pressure sensors live data.

OP @Frontporch - how did you first have techstream and now nothing?

Historical codes are very likely here. Or intermittent sleeping sensors….

You need to scan with a competent scanner - or official TS - to determine the cause of this issue.

Yesterday I pulled into a gas station and set the pump to 37 and topped off all tires. The light went out shortly after I started driving. I also pressed the TPMs reset. I drove home and light has been out. I am still surprised the light was on when I was around 32 psi but I am glad to see it off now. Will hookup techstream later to get a picture of new settings. Thanks to all that replied. Lots of good info

I didn’t know how to use techstream to check for pending codes with the TPMS

Please note I never mentioned pending, but historical codes. These are not at all the same.

I do understand these details are easily missed in the stress of issues, but I would like to emphasize that a historical code is set in past time and stored due to ECU monitor relevance, while pending code is a warning this code will be set if same conditions apply several cycles.

Monitors are indeed a smart concept, apart from any application to Tire Pressure in my world.

This monitor for TP should be forced to be disabled by manufacturers in any country where the concept is not legally mandatory, such as most of Northern Europe….

We have to swap tires twice every year and hence have full control of our tires (and brakes?).

This is the main reason this system and warning is not relevant/applicable - or legally required - and any such warning light is ignored (tires are checked) at SWEDISH yearly state inspection.

It is not that bad for any dealership/Toyota… (I would wildly assume with full ignorance that this concept was introduced due to some US lawsuit and applied globally).

I turned off the TPMS light and never looked back.

On Gen 3 Prius models, just jumper positions 5 and 6 on the back m of the connector block with a thin solid copper wire as shown in this photo.

I check the pressure in my tires every 2-3 weeks.
