Oil marks on dipstick

Nothing too important here. Just some conversation. Wonder what these burnt places are on the dipstick. For perspective my car has 360,000 miles and in the last year it has actually stopped burning oil , or I will state I don’t need to add any between 5000 mile changes. I use the restore and protect and everything is going well but I have noticed these burned oil places on the dipstick and I've actually cleaned them off about a month ago and these are new. What do you think this means? Is this normal?

 

I have posted on here that I have had periods of infrequent coolant loss and some knocking. It seemed to happen several days in row- lost maybe several ounces of coolant . Hasn’t done it in a couple of weeks. I did clean the EGR cooler, manifold, replaced PVC. Maybe that helped, I don’t know anymore.

 

You would have to scrape it off with your fingernail or a plastic scraper or something .

 

I was checking something today and noticed the following:

When engine is cold- and you release the reservoir cap, there is a hiss as if it is under some amount of pressure. Some of this is normal, or is it?

I started the car and let it run for a bit - I noticed 2 things I had never noticed before-

When the gas engine shut off, the engine fan came on for a bit.

I can hear the water pump running with the gas engine off. The engine temperature, according to my scanner app was only 110%.

It sounds like a head gasket failure all the way around just wondering about the last two observations? Any thoughts?

 

What do you mean exactly I had just never noticed this when I very first started in the morning. It is unusual anyway just to start the car and then go do other things so maybe it happens and I just don’t notice.

 

110°F, I haven’t done that, that would be easy enough. I assume it is just a sure thing.
