More than likely the control rod clip broke off or got dislodged; leading to the rod falling out of place. You'll need to remove the door panel to do an inspection. DO NOT roll down that window; you can bend or deform that control rod; if it gets caught in the window mechanism. You may also have a defective child lock-out assembly, if the control rod isn't dislodged. Good Luck; Hope this helps......
