    I found that there was oil accumulation in the ERG pipe inside the intake manifold at the first cylinder position. I am still thinking about whether to open a hole and connect an oil collection tank.
    Who has a photo? I'll take a look

    That's wonderful that somebody's even bothering with tsbs on the car that's 12 years old or whatever. Most car folk would rather forget this stuff than Re live it. .

    The Toyota one. It’s pretty much THE choice as far as I know, since it’s a very specific application. Unlike traditional, coolant-immersed block heaters, it’s a smallish cylinder that fits into a tubular pocket in the block, employs heat-transfer grease. Really difficult access if you’re retrofitting, just doable.

    I actually just had it replaced by dealership: there was a recall due to fire hazard with the old one. New one appears to heat up less, judging from feel of adjacent coolant hoses after a couple of hours plugged in. Wiring seems a little more robust too.

    the part no, for that latest one;

    Oooh! I thought it was an aftermarket thing like what we use on our diesel equipment. :oops:

    Okay so i legit just had my intake manifold cleaned like a week ago and he replaced the seal. It was throwing this code with the check engine light. I’ve had knocking several times in the past with no one being able to replicate it. Do you think Toyota would fix mine then? Is that what I’m understanding?
