I just successfully followed the chicken dance instructions for a non-smart keyfob on a 2005 Prius. I can start it and lock and unlock doors, but the panic key doesn't work on the new fob. If the door locks work, should the panic button work also? Or is it not possible to get the panic functionality on a fob that isn't original?
Panic should work is panic turned off in the menu of the car I think it's possible . Mines off in my two. And I think I had to turn it off in a menu aofva scan tool under security.
Panic works on the old fob. I only paid $17 for the new one, so maybe it's a case of getting what I paid for...
Oh yeah that's one of those universal board jobs then anything's possible . It don't work exact as factory . Go around the car lots they'll check their buckets usually they'll have plenty of old Prius remotes and they'll give em to ya. Then you can dance with a real factory remote and make it happen
No used car dealers that's where you want to go the lady will have a bucket full of ole fobs or the guy back in the shop. You jess hold up yours ask got any like this un!
