I just replaced the rear right wheel hub on my 2013 Prius. After turning the car on, I immediately see this fault code:

    ABS
    Part # suffix: 47214
    Calibration ID: F152647214
    Fault codes:
C1466 Rear Speed Sensor RH Circuit

I do not see any damage in the wiring that plugs into the sensor. Plugging out and back in didn't help either.

Since the sensor itself is embedded in the wheel hub, would the most likely explanation that the wheel hub is defective?

It's a Mevotech part ordered from RockAuto. The only thing that throws me off is that the fault code refers to the Circuit, not to the sensor itself.

Yes I would think it's a bad hub sensor embedded in the hub which would be part of the circuit if completed and functioning. Try a trq from Amazon I had good luck so far not had to redo one yet I'm on cars heading to 5 and 600K . In for the long game

PSA: the car's brake/skid ECU has a sensor check test mode that the repair manual always advises to use after any work like replacing a hub. After completing the test mode procedure, all of the sensors have been confirmed working, to a more stringent standard than normal operation. This is worth doing even when using shiny new Toyota parts, just to make sure there won't be later surprises and customer returns.
