    Hi all,

This is my first time posting a thread here so hopefully I'm on the right subforum, but I've been looking to fix or replace my steering wheel for some time now. I have a 2010 Prius III, which unfortunately has the original rubber/urethane steering wheel on it that came with the car. The buttons and everything else is in great shape, but the wheel itself has begun crumbling and peeling - I hate it.

I've explored different steering wheel covers, but they never fit quite right. I've also tried the ones you can stitch on, but I have never been happy with the results (skill issue). I tried to purchase an "OEM" leather steering wheel from a higher trim model from eBay and got burned (the wheel that arrived was not leather, it was coated in some weird sort of plastic resin not at all like what I saw in the listing photos; trying to return it for a refund right now). Having really bad luck with this so far. Anyway, I'm wondering if anybody knows of a place where I could source an actual original replacement steering wheel, preferably leather, that I can transfer my airbag, buttons, electronics etc. onto, since that type of job is more in my wheelhouse than something requiring sewing.

If you have or know of an original leather steering wheel I could use, I'd happily buy it.

Would very much appreciate any advice on this.

I suspect because there's endless online cheap options to have a steering wheel look and feel you enjoy, there's no market for brand new OEM. So this is one of those parts that's stupid expensive you can find on ebay in Japan: Toyota Genuine Steering Wheel 45100 - 47120 - C0 | eBay

But at $350 plus tax, plus $100 shipping you could try 10 different steering wheel cover options to find one you like and still spend less than brand new OEM.

Be patient, keep trying! Hire someone who's skill with stitching can make a thread on one better than you thought possible.

Also keep your eye on wrecking yards for a nice steering wheel.

You got options with Gen 3 .they're all kindsa companies doing these it's Gen 2 they're nothing for. Of course I don't use my steering wheel button so I have millions of options fed up all the E3 will fit right on these cars you don't have original buttons . But I won't miss those . With a e3 mounted or similar .
