215/50r17 safe to run?

    I know it’s about 1 inch larger diameter than stock. Anyone safely run slightly oversized tires?

    Yes this size is perfectly fine for the Prius. You can do a search for that size on a Prius, you'll see many people have been using that size and didn't have any issues

    Thanks. I searched a ton, couldn’t find anyone saying it was good on a 4th gen. Seems to be stock on Prius V which makes searching difficult.

    4th gens come from the factory with either 195/65R15 or 225/45R17. The latter is actually slightly smaller outside diameter.

    a 215/50R17 I’d guesstimate to be near identical OD to the stock 15”. Definitely not an inch more.

    Nice site! Never would have figured both OEM sizes to be basically equal (not that I gave it that much thought), but still….
