    Good Morning All,

Fairly new user here in the forums

Someone stole the antenna mast off of my 2015 Prius V and I am having issues locating a replacement. I am hoping someone here can help me identify the correct one. As far as I know, my trim level is a 3 and I have the following options - Entune premium audio with navigation (but not the premium JBL 8 speakers setup), no radar cruise control, no SOS, no collision avoidance (at least that is what my research has turned up - these trim levels/options are very confusing...)
My VIN number is JTDZN3EU7FJ016379 if that helps out - have poured over Toyota's website, Toyota app, Toyota Parts Deals, Toyota Parts Now, even have an Alldata DIY account and all I get are contradictory results.
I want to make sure I am getting the correct antenna based on my features since they can vary wildly in price and I don't want to spend more on something I don't have/need or shortchange myself and get something that might potentially remove access to a feature.

If any additional information is needed, please ask away...

Thanks in advance for all of your help
    Mike

The screw on antenna is the same for all trims and options. It's cheap enough to buy from the dealer. The antenna preamp is the piece the mast screws into. The preamp has different part numbers and costs based on xm radio or emergency sos service.

The ~ 7 inch stubby antenna is about 1/16 wavelength of the low end of the FM band, even if spiral wound, and I have no idea whether it is. Scosche sells an inexpensive15 inch whip (1/8 wave) that really improves reception. 1/4 wave would be better still, but at 30 inches that’s a lot of drag.

Does anyone have a service manual for replacing the amplifier portion? Really on just how to remove the ceiling liner to get access to the bolt and cable anchors/connectors. We'll be getting a v shortly that had its base damaged.

See attached. Note there are three versions of the amp depending on options. Verify specific pn with dealer based on vin.

More extensive than I would have guessed. Will all the fasteners essentially "pop" out with reasonable force or do I need special trim tools for some of those noted on page 10?

They will come out easier with cheap plastic trim tools. There are some screws noted on the drawing.

It took me maybe two hours.

It could be worse. The manual says remove the headliner which requires removing the windshield.

Wow. Someone was being a bit too literal when doing the manual since just lowering hatch end of the liner is sufficient.

I might actually try super gluing the assembly back together first so really only need to undo the bolt for that and lift it out just a bit which the cable may not allow. My MIL hit it with a faulty garage door so the base is still attached to the car with circuit board exposed. Though there's probably some cable going to the antenna stud that is also broken so that may also prevent this simpler idea. I haven't had a chance at look at it yet, just the pic she sent.

    Thank you for the info!

Is the problem mechanical and not functional? Eg does it still work? If so superglue might work but sometimes it isn't the greatest on plastic.

The flaw in the preamps was in the xm satellite section. If you don't need to have xm, a used unit would be a safe bet for am/fm.

If you are going far enough to remove the nut its 2 minutes extra to take it out. That might provide better clamping while attempting to glue. There are retail superglues and there are better commercial two part types as well. Most of those were taken off the retail shelves when people were gluing their fingers or eyes shut.

Note there are separate mini coaxs per function.

Just another reason why we can no longer have nice things...
