I didn't know you could double clutch the Prius.

It could give me 3 down-hill options and do so without having to ride pedals, which is to me one of the main points of having an engine or regenerative brake option that doesn't involve a pedal. Like, if I'm going to have to ride a pedal to get the right amount of engine or regenerative braking, then what's the point of the B mode? Just incorporate the extra regen in one-pedal braking, which I hate. And yes, I've driven an F 150 Lightning with one-pedal braking and I hate it.

On the way to becoming "full", the battery first passes a state of charge in the mid-70% range, where the car first begins increasing engine braking while decreasing charging current. That balance proceeds to all engine braking and no charging current at a state of charge of 80%.

Readers interested in the details can find them here: How much engine braking a gen 3 is capable of | PriusChat

... and that it gradually replaces regen over the mid-70s to 80% SoC range as the engineers programmed it to, with no special action needed from you, the driver.

What does 'prove' that the car behaves as the linked thread describes is not some absence of experience, but easily demonstrated repeatable experience.
