Which Toyota dealer is offering actuators for $1,250?

Prices have gone up since last summer. Was able to order one in the low $900 new from Serra Toyota last summer using the 25% sale. They are now ~$1400 before applying the 25% off sales. Like everything else we import into this country, we like winning by paying more money disguised as tariffs.

You mean tremendous tariffs! Do you know how often these sales pop up?

they pop up often, a few times a year. But not always at 25%. It ranges from 10% to 25% and they typically last a week once they sales pop up.

Thanks. Curious when you popped the actuator in - did you go through the whole techstream bleeding procedure before calibrating the actuator?

yes you have to go through the bleeding procedure using techstream first. It's the easiest way to do it, it's a step by step prompt and really can't mess it up.

I've done it manually but the feel of the brakes afterwards made me second guess my results. So I would suggest making your life easier and just use techstream to do it.

Ive done the bleeding procedures on 3 different actuators, and it completes successfully..The brakes certainly dont feel like there's any air in them. I got 2 used units with the old part number (ends in 50) and for the third time paid 450$ for a updated, newer unit (ending in 51), but that is also used. Upon plugging it, prior to performing the techstream bleed, but turning the car on i was dismayed to see the linear code stored on this unit as well, and not going away after bleeding it using the techstream procedure.

I guess what i am wondering is, did you have lights on/codes prior to bleeding the unit with your brand new one, or was it error free out of the box?

I don't think there should be any stored code on the unit itself. It would be stored on the car. Have you gone through the entire procedure of bleeding and linear valve offset calibration? I would go through the entire process regardless of the codes you have stored. And if you have a different 12v battery, try using a different battery in the car.
