Servomotor Mechanic Can’t Solve Issue

Hey folks, I have a 2015 Prius c. The ac wasn’t working so I took it to the shop. They said it was the HVAC door actuator and the estimate was about $2200. So they ripped out the dash, replaced the servo motors put it back together. And I got a call that the codes cleared (B1441). But hot air is still getting pushed out. So now they want to rip the dash back out and said something about “replacing a box”. I asked them how much more that would cost and haven’t heard back yet.
What are y’all’s thoughts? I’m $2k in the hole and my ac still isn’t fixed. I don’t know what else it could be and sounds like they don’t know either.
