Hey folks, I have a 2015 Prius c. The ac wasn’t working so I took it to the shop. They said it was the HVAC door actuator and the estimate was about $2200. So they ripped out the dash, replaced the servo motors put it back together. And I got a call that the codes cleared (B1441). But hot air is still getting pushed out. So now they want to rip the dash back out and said something about “replacing a box”. I asked them how much more that would cost and haven’t heard back yet. What are y’all’s thoughts? I’m $2k in the hole and my ac still isn’t fixed. I don’t know what else it could be and sounds like they don’t know either.
It sounds like they did at least some of the right things to correct this problem, just not all of them. Repeat labor to correct this should be on them.
