What’s making this noise?

I’ve got a 2015 Prius. Recently, it has started making a whining noise every 15 seconds or so beginning when I unlock the vehicle, throughout my drive, and after I shut the vehicle down and lock it. It takes a bit after shutting down for the sound to go away. I was able to see what is causing the sound, just have no idea what it is. Can anyone help with solving my problem? I’d love to fix it on my own without taking to the dealer, if possible. I’ve attached a video below that shows the sounds and is zoomed in to the part making the sound.

Okay, then WHAT is it? And since you can "see" it, you can likely fix it?

    Describe the location.

If its under the hood, back drivers side its probably your brake booster assembly going bad. Fairly expensive and somewhat difficult diy. A good installed dealer price is around $2500 due to a $850 part and lots of labor and use of Techstream to flush and calibrate

However when it fails you will gets several warning lights, codes and perhaps weak brakes.

Sorry, I should have described the location. It is on the drivers side under the coolant and brake fluid reservoirs.

This is why I was asking the question. I don’t know what it is. I was hoping those more experienced than I would be able to help me identify the issue.

That's why the booster and pump are. More of a whirling sound, right?
"If" that IS the issue, you'll need someone who has worked with that before to do it.
Dealership or independent shop with Prius experience.

The thing the brake pressure pump sounds most like to me is a joy buzzer. Or maybe a rattlesnake. Kicks on, whirrs for a couple seconds, and stops. Sometimes you notice it has a pitch, and the pitch drops a little between when it kicks on and when it stops. Like the joy buzzer spring winding down.

Does that sound like what you're hearing?
