Help! I need to buy a specific section of wire harness from a Plug-in Prius (2012-2015). If you are parting out a Plug-in Prius, you may have this laying in the back. Or possibly still attached to the battery case or charge controller? Call or message me to discuss. 608-729-4082. I'm in Wisconsin. I'd prefer as much of the harness as possible. But we can sort that out. I took off the wire loom of one section, and had to repair/tape up a different section, so mine may look slightly different than yours.
I talked with him yesterday. He doesn't have what I need. But will ping me if something comes on his radar. He had some good advice as well.
With it being rare it can be a pain to find certain PIP-only parts. It's hard to filter through all the regular ads just to find the Plugin parts. Practicing my skills on a similar connector.
I'm surprised no one has designed a universal plug where you stack the number of wires you need together to form the correct shaped plug. Suspect 3D printer owners have experimented with printing their own plugs... Of course in general making a specific shaped plug is super expensive when it comes to building the tooling to make the plastic pieces. For example it cost ACENbay.com more that $10K to have tolling made so he could manufacture his own voltage sensing harness that plugs into the ECM.
I bit the bullet and bought an entire harness New from Toyota. Under $1,000. Worth it for peace of mind long term. This car only has 53,000 miles on it. It has about 30 connections throughout the car. Second pic shows the harness laid out on my floor. The section that was most damaged circled in RED.
Was the actual connector pins corrosion the cause or somewhere else in the wiring? Great info in general. Also, do you by chance happen to have a confirmed source or know confidently what the out of specification ranges for Blocks, Bricks, etc. are that throw these related codes? Like upper and lower Cell, Block, Brick like based on DrPrius readings? I only have a reliable DrPrius and AutelMAXAP200 app to read live data from. Looks like all 56 cells have sense wires. From Jacks videos as well as my observations, appears that there is always a Delta SOC % above 0 and 5% Delta SOC is the max. I'm not certain regarding the Volt Diff and other metrics I can't see.
