Replacing struts. Should end links be done at the same time?

Thanks for everyone’s help on this forum so far. I have done a bunch of DIY work and learned a lot about my car in the past 7 months.

Recently I got quotes to do struts on my car and just for Fronts only, dealers wanted between $1500-1600 to do 2 struts (this is in the Northern IL area, I’m sure if I went to Missouri or Iowa rates would be less.

So I ordered KYB Quick Struts for $382 shipped, and while looking under my car, noticed the end links’ rubber boots are not looking great (but not leaking grease).

Since I have some suspension noise that happens when turning in parking lots, and both dealers I talked to tried to upsell end links, is it normal at 9.5 years / 110,000 miles to need those too?

FWIW - my car was titled previously in the Rust Belt where potholes are the norm, so if it makes sense to do those together, they are right by the struts and don’t seem like a hard DIY. I think the worst part about this project will be taking out the wipers.
