Be forewarned, @Hammersmith's a stickler for keeping it "stock", so goes all-in, on restoring the Prius to how it should have rolled off the ship. But info on the rim and tire recommendation is in there, and the scissor jack and lug nut wrench info.

The temporary spare tires will get you where you want to go, but typically have a warning on the sidewall, to not exceed 50 mph (80 kmh), so stay off high-speed freeways, and get the flat checked out promptly.

If I may preach: if buyers quit buying cars without spares, the manufacturers will reinstate them, fast. 'Till then...

To boil down the options listed by the other posters:

There are basically three ways you can go. First, you can get a spare kit from Modern Spare or EZ Spare. These will work, but I consider them wildly over priced for what you get. Second, you can build your own spare kit from OEM Toyota parts. You buy a wheel, a tire, a bag to cover it(if you want) and a tool kit(if you want). You can do this for about half the price of a Modern/EZ kit. With both of these choices, you're going to have a spare tire sitting in your back seats or your cargo area getting in the way.

The third option is to do a full OEM conversion. The gen5 Prius was designed to have a spare under the cargo cover. If you do this, you get the benefit of always having a spare but having it stored under the cargo cover and not in the way. It's the most expensive choice, but it's not all that much more than a kit from Modern/EZ if you order from the right place at the right time of year.

Which option you choose is up to you, your budget, and your priorities. Go ahead and ask if you want specifics of any of the three options. I can give you part numbers and places/times to buy to get the best deals on the Toyota parts if you go with options 2 or 3.
