Haven't had this before. Car started up fine and a minute later threw the triangle. No other lights, not the big screen, just the triangle. I'm not pulling any codes with TorquePro. IIRC, being low/high on oil can trigger a no-code triangle, but the oil level is exactly right. Anyone know anything else that sets the triangle but doesn't throw a code? The inverter pump is working fine. Car runs fine, although I only drove it a couple of blocks and came back home. TP clears the triangle, but it sets again, whether it's driving/in gear or just idling. Can't recall for sure, but I think it sets with just the key on, without starting it. Any other way to read the codes? I don't have TS.
You might read Gen 2's OBD-II app thread for ideas: Gen2 OBD2 app review | PriusChat Gen 1 had an even funkier mix of network technologies than Gen 2 did, with boxes that could talk over the same wires but with different protocols or bit rates, and also gateways to hop from things on one network to things on another. Also, there were only something like 52,000 Gen 1s made (maybe that's just US? Don't remember), reducing the incentive for anybody to have burned much midnight oil trying to make a free app work right for it. But maybe one of the paid products licensing the goods from Toyota, like the Autel, would work.
