To avoid scratching the rear bumper when loading/onloadig cargo, I suggest attaching a rectangular piece of leather - sheep hide, perhaps - to the rear edge of the trunk buttom cover. Folding it in/out would take almost no time, which means that it would actually be in place when it should be. The zero load lip makes it an obvious thing to do, and it could even make a nice picnic bench, albeit on the tall side.

These are all excellent ideas. The seat heater makes driving the leather a dream come true, especially in the mornings.

I think you'll have better luck with a spring+coilover setup; lowering 1.5-2cm streamlines the look quite nicely and you still rarely scrape (when you do scrape, it's still only the scrape guard).

The next mod I'm going to put in my 06 is remote start and, if possible, remote control (via bluetooth or VPN to carpc) of the climate controls.

Note: my philosophy has and always will be that "function" modifications are more important than "form" modifications and should generally be invisible.

Just stay away from light colors, they cause a really bad reflection in windshield. I bought a beige one and had to throw it away.

I have done several mods to my Prius. The most important mod so far has been to replace the really weak stock horns. The Prius seems to be a target when it comes to unsafe drivers.

I mounted them behind the lower grill, centered between the foglamps. I used a stock hole on the radiator center support beam.

Also, does anyone know anything about putting an electric turbo on it? I have been thinking about going with a standard turbo, but I was afraid that, with out a steady flow of exhaust, it wouldn't perform. I was thinking an electric would work better. I would just have to find a way to sync it with the engine turning back on after a stop.

Way over $100: Plug-in conversion, getting you 100+ mpg. (requires additional/replacement batteries)

I've turned off the back up beep in my 2008, but cannot get the seat belt beep to quit. I followed the instructions exactly, and even got the b-on/b-off to toggle, but it still beeps. Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?

Bumper stickers: less than $5. Mount them on magnets so they can be removed.

Some reccomend removing the plastic rings on the wheels. When I bought my 2005, i was told that the rings were on there because a wind tunnel test revealed some turbulance and the rings corrected that. Supposed to take 2-3 mpg away. any comments or experience with this?
