I have the 2019 Prime engine installed. It runs first try. But the coolant system is the only thing that gives me hesitation. The engine has no temp gauge for me to keep an eye on it and I’m not engine savvy enough to know what coolant lines are supposed to cool/warm/hot. So I don’t know what’s “normal”. I triple checked @Ragingfit coolant diagram and have everything ran the same.

I guess my question is. My car could be running normal but I don’t know what coolant lines should be hot etc. How do I check to ensure the coolant system is doing it job and I routed it correctly. I’m a noob I know

The first thing that I suggest is get either a “hybrid aware” scan tool or an ELM327 that you can plug into the diagnostic port. That will allow you the ability to monitor coolant temps thru the live data output to the diagnostic connector. If your highest coolant temp is 203F or below, the fans kick on and off, and you are not getting the temp light or a check hybrid system warning, you should be good to go.

Ok cool. Thanks for the help. My fan kicks on normally. I can hear the idle slightly change when I turn my interior heater fans up. I’m gonna use my heat scan gun this weekend to check the hoses. I noticed the small hoses to the throttle body get hot the quickest and stay that way. It doesn’t fluctuate.
