You are correct ChapmanF if it is not a typo and is C1256, then mea culpa.
I quoted the part which is not factual in its entirety. You said (and keep saying) that, at 11.9 volts, things with a Prius start getting flaky...
You claimed that and to date, you have been able to state how you know this other than it is a hunch based on 50 years of electronic experience....
Out of interest, what items (accessories, I presume) did you get rid of?
Agreed. Fred's House of Pancakes is there if you really must get into it.
Indeed it could well be the 12 V battery. To make sure you don't waste money changing a battery that doesn't need it, it could be worthwhile...
19 mΩ. I don't know if there is an absolute value threshold but from what I've seen any value up to the low 30mΩ mark seems to still work. You'd...
Hello and welcome to Prius Chat. Did you refit one of the fobs with one of the old batteries? I read a post that claimed that a new battery had...
These two codes were recently discussed here. There are likley more codes that you're not seeing in other ECUs.
Hi and welcome to PriusChat. This use case is by way the most common way to shorten the life span of the 12 V battery. It very much sounds like...
The Dr. Prius app can read any codes you might have. Some comments on your Dr. Prius images: They show IR of 19 mΩ which are the default values...
Is that a typo in your location? Is it actually Cyprus, officially called the Republic of Cyprus – an island nation in the eastern Mediterranean Sea?
And I think you certainly can afford to wait. It really depends on how badly the battery has been abused. If it has had a lot of deep discharges...
As mr_guy_mann said above, it appears the Health Check Button is absent from your System Selection Menu screen. [ATTACH]
Do a "Health Check" from the main screen. This will interrogate all the ECUs and report all DTCs found.
I'm not sure what other inputs there could be in a Gen 2, there is no USB (if that's what you were thinking), so as far as I know it just detects...
A lot of assumptions and guessing going on there. Who even uses Imp qts these days? Even the British have dropped in favor of litres? Anyway...
Gen 2 Prius holds 3.25 Imp qts of oil which equals 3.9 (US) qts or 3.7 L. I'm not sure why you're quoting Imp qts, though.
Don't buy an optima, just buy the OEM or aftermarket S46B24R AGM. You might find the OEM is cheaper than the optima into the bargain.
The fobs will work as the ECM does not handle that. That job is done by the immobilizer ECU. The ECM is plug-n-play.
