It's the "rubber" handle. It melts and is toooo hot to touch.
I have to add oil to my Prius every 1000 miles. basically once a week about a quart. It's been lower than that and my oil light never came on.
On very hot days, I cannot open my hatch back. So the entire summer it's useless.
