No it doesn't......if you are talking about the hybrid battery. It is the 12 V that has additional drain, NOT the HV one.
Causing the battery to be CONSTANTLY charged at 14.4 volts is NOT a good thing to do. That is a throw-back to the days of mechanical voltage...
