I know what you are saying. However, 'hybrid surcharges' have been introduced in other states and they *always* seem to be down party lines....
The good news is I'm pretty sure this surcharge will never get through the MN legislature. This surcharge was basically proposed by a GOP...

Off topic a bit but I think I read that the 2019 Corolla Hybrid will have Apple Carplay, etc... That seems to be a big differentiator from the Prius.
