I know, sacrilege. Here's the thing. I just spent an entire road trip (1,450 miles) running Google Maps on my phone and Prime navigation...
Which is no problem because as soon as you start the descent regeneration will put you over the 0.1 mile limit for starting Ev mode.
When I said "depleted battery", I meant a battery with sufficient remaining capacity to absorb the expected regeneration from the descent.
Of course it's a couple of seconds behind. Finding a GPS position isn't instantaneous even with a continuous lock, and then it has to plot this...
