    PiP 'burns' EV range in HV mode (not regen)

    I think it recommends in the manual to charge it right before you use it (ie. don't let it sit there forever with full charge). Having the timer...

    Sounds like you guys need the system checked out. There are plenty of examples on here, including mine, where the AUTO acts exactly like it should.

    Seat warmers are fast in mine and have never had a problem with the HVAC having a mind of it's own (except when I want it to in auto).
